John Astles in the RBJ: AI Should Expand Human Potential for People with Disabilities
In a recent Rochester Business Journal Viewpoint, Executive Director & CEO John Astles explains how The Arc Ontario is using AI and virtual reality to create new paths to independence and employment. He describes our partnership with Rochester Institute of Technology, which helped create a VR and AI lab at our Employment and Training Center. At the lab, people can explore careers and practice workplace skills before their first day on the job. John also makes the case that people with disabilities should have a hand in shaping AI, not just adapting to it.
